María Paula Mariño is a Colombian producer, songwriter/composer and recording/mixing engineer based in Miami. Her work is driven by a songwriter-first approach to production, blending pop, Latin pop, and indie/alternative influences with orchestral elements.
She has worked as a recording and assistant recording engineer on internationally released projects across Europe and Latin America, including albums Every Dawn’s a Mountain by Tamino and Pink Elephant by Arcade Fire, as well as recording sessions with Latin Grammy-nominated artists Vanesa Martín and Agris.
As a producer and songwriter, María Paula has developed releases for emerging Colombian artist SHELLA, named Billboard Colombia “Artist to Watch”. Maria Paula co-wrote, produced, and recorded her debut EP, including “CASA <3,” nominated for Best Acoustic Song at Premios Estela in Guatemala. Most recently, she worked as a mixing and mastering engineer for Latin Grammy-nominated producer Nabález.
She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Media Scoring and Production at the University of Miami on a full-ride scholarship, while working across songwriting, production, and engineering in the Latin music scene.
María Paula brings a multi-faceted production approach to a diverse range of artists and projects, while actively contributing to greater representation of Latin women in music production and engineering.
